Gonzo psychedelic synth/drum madness from Down Under ca. 1974. Contains the mega-rare 7" single and four previously unreleased tracks from the same session. RIYL Bruce Haack, Residents, Cramps and all points between. Born in the U.S. but raised in Newcastle, New South Wales, John J. Francis fronted popular r'n'b, pop and pop-psyche bands The Sorrows, The John Francis Collexion, The Ghosts Of Electricity, and Magic across the mid-late 1960s. In 1970 he was approached by Dave Gibson to engineer, produce (and eventually manage) his Copperfield Sound Studios in the old Corn Exchange Building near Pyrmont Bridge in Pyrmont, Sydney. Through pure happenstance his unadorned 1972 singer-songwriter ode to alternative living "Simple Ben" was placed in the iconic surfer film Morning Of The Earth and has since become something of an Australian standard. Across 1972-1974 John also recorded four acclaimed LPs and had a Top Ten hit with "Play Mumma, Sing Me A Song." Recorded in studio downtime with friend and drummer Jim Yonge (from prog-rock band Pirana and a multitude of session work), Brute Force And His Drum was Francis' somewhat bizarre 'caveman with an Arp 2600' alter ego. Grunts, shouts and bawdy hollers punctuate mad synth riffs and prehistoric percussion. Two sides ("Weird And Wonderful" and "Strange") were released on a house label Copperfield 45 in 1974 and received sporadic airplay (even charting briefly in Canberra). That 45 now trades for hundreds of dollars amongst knowledgeable collectors of '70s Oz Psyche-Synth ephemera. Four further tracks were recorded during the same sessions ("King Of The Konga" was slated to be second, but ultimately unreleased, 45) and they make their first ever appearance here. John J. Francis left Copperfield Sound Studios in 1974 and would resurface two years later as the midnight-to-dawn DJ on Sydney's youth-orientated 2JJFM (a position he held for over a decade) until fading from public view and pursuing his lifelong passion for painting. After a long illness, John J. Francis passed away quietly in 2022 and Australia lost one of its most unique and under-appreciated musical figures.

Good for body, reapply often, use something else on face
Style: Kids SPF 50 Mineral Sunscreen Lotion, Size: 3 Ounce (1 Pack) Mineral Sunscreen
We used this sunscreen at the Oregon coast on a cold but sunny February weekend and it had good sun protection. It’s non greasy and applies easily. No white cast when fully rubbed in and absorbed. My kids were able to use it without any irritations but I could not use it on my face, it irritated my skin immediately and I had to wash it off with facial cleanser and apply a sunscreen meant only for faces. I have sensitive skin and some rosacea, so this one I kept to only using on my arms and chest. One of my kids still got a sunburn on her cheeks after I applied this sunscreen, she had quite pale, sensitive skin, so again I would still recommend using something else on the face.

Clear but scented
Style: Kids SPF 50 Mineral Sunscreen Lotion, Size: 3 Ounce (1 Pack) Mineral Sunscreen
We go through a lot of sunscreen during summer with little ones, so we’ve tried many brands. This bottle is pretty small, which is both a plus (compact for traveling and putting in your purse) and a minus. I was so pleasantly surprised that this mineral sunscreen doesn’t leave a heavy white cast, as most others do. But, it is fragranced, which is both surprising and disappointing to me for more natural kids’ sunscreen. I do think it is effective, so if you don’t mind having some fragrance, then I would recommend. Our family doesn’t love added fragrances so this isn’t a great fit for us.

Light, not heavy or greasy. Minimal white cast
Style: Kids SPF 50 Mineral Sunscreen Lotion, Size: 3 Ounce (1 Pack) Mineral Sunscreen, Style: Kids SPF 50 Mineral Sunscreen Lotion, Size: 3 Ounce (1 Pack) Mineral Sunscreen
This sunscreen lotion is a thin consistency - it spreads and blends easily. Not a lot of tugging on the skin, as with thicker creams. It does not feel heavy or greasy, but it is not as light as a "sheer" sunscreen. This is a good weight for a mineral sunscreen. There is a minimal white cast on my medium toned skin. It's more visible on the darker areas, and less so on the lighter areas. It does seem to fade after a couple hours, so this is acceptable to me for the sun protection. This has a light, sweet coconut scent. Not fake and not overwhelming. Gentle on my kid's skin.

Clear mineral sunscreen!
Style: Kids SPF 50 Mineral Sunscreen Lotion, Size: 3 Ounce (1 Pack) Mineral Sunscreen
We have a beach trip coming up and needed to get some good sunscreen to use. We have used mineral sunscreen for years ( there is so much nastyness in regular sunscreen) but I have never tried this brand. Mineral sunscreen typically has zinc oxide in it and this one is no different. One thing that I have never liked about mineral sunscreen is that it always leaves you with a white film on your skin. This one is advertised as "drying clear" so I was really curious to try it out! I was pleasantly surprised to find out that it truly does! I'm so excited to not have the nasty while film all over our skin!

I love this stuff!
Style: Kids SPF 50 Mineral Sunscreen Lotion, Size: 3 Ounce (1 Pack) Mineral Sunscreen
I really love this sunscreen. There are three claims on the front of the tube: dries clear, for sensitive skin, and lightweight. All three of these are true. It is more of a liquid and less of a cream which makes it easy to apply. It feels lightweight on my skin and sits there as a thin layer rather than a thick one. Some sunscreens feel too heavy or greasy to wear on my face, and this does not. It also dries clear as advertised. In addition, it smells wonderful. The scent is not like sunscreen at all which makes my daughter very happy. I like that this is a 3-ounce container and that I can take it in my airplane carry-on.
