The New Year's Eve Charity Concert at Paisley Park on December 31, 1987, the only live collaboration between Miles Davis, the king of jazz, and Prince, who secretly recorded together in the studio after their fateful encounter in the 1980s, is now available on 2 discs in a newly remastered CD & DVD set!
Now available in a collector's edition of two CDs and a DVD! The CD contains a master recording of much higher quality than the previously available recordings, and the DVD contains the latest pro-shot footage. The CD contains the original masters, which are of a much higher quality than the previously available recordings, and the DVD contains the latest remastered version of the pro-shot video footage. The existing footage is from the second half of the concert, but it includes Sheila E's drum solo, “Let's Go Crazy,” “Firefly Light,” “Purple Rain,” and “1999,” and the excitement of the audience was at its peak when the encore, “Beautiful Night,” was performed.
The audience was at the peak of excitement with “Purple Rain” and “1999,” including “Firefly Light,” and the encore was “Beautiful Night! The tension of the one-shot show was in the air, and the rare footage of their first and last live performance together is a must-see!
